Description
The North London Jazz Collective is a community of the UK?s finest jazz musicians passionately committed to engagement in the field of music, not just in its abstract commodity form, but as a concrete social practice grounded in real community and collective joy.
This particular lineup presented by the collective boasts some of the biggest names in the UK jazz scene.
Steve Fishwick is widely considered to be one of the best jazz trumpet players ever to come from the UK, and is rapidly gaining a global reputation thanks to his flawless technique and his beautifully flowing, harmonically rich improvisations.
Rob Barron is a London-based jazz pianist, arranger and composer and has been described as ?one of the most creative and versatile musicians of his generation.?
Lorenzo Morabito is one of the most in-demand young bass players in the UK. Despite his tender age his CV already includes performances with jazz heavy-weights at home and abroad.
Robbie Ellison is a drumming, composing and arranging Londoner with a love of greasy beats, pretty sounds and good vibes.
The band will play two sets of music.
