Wildest Rose For Valentines: Whiskey Moon Face + Q-BRA at Jamboree Event Title Pic

Description

A Valentines night special at Jamboree under the sheer romantic spell of Whiskey Moon Face and their French musette waltzes, traditional Eastern European folk and klezmer, dreamy Blossom Dearie-esque jazz and the sweetest inflections of New Orleans.

Support comes from the ace songwriter and activist Q-BRA, enchanting us with timeless love songs from Turkey and beyond.

Both acts will play two sets each along the course of the night.

Born into a puddle of whiskey beneath a stark winter moon and raised by cold winds, schooled in the warming spirits and hungry for more, Whiskey Moon Face manage a natural, graceful sound built from many ports.? Innovative and improvisational with stark originality, Louisa Jones' troupe of underground musicians play with a virtuosity you could never expect. Theirs are songs which speak of the unspeakable, with understated humour, captivating storytelling and a transcendent spirituality.

In support, Istanbul-based singer, songwriter and DJ, Q-BRA is a queer activist with a sound that sports a fluent range and sensitivity, tonight playing love songs from Turkey and beyond.

Jamboree food option: Our ?Arepatoire? kitchen is open from 6pm serving a delicious mix of Italian/Colombian food for you to enjoy a pre-gig Valentines meal/snack if you wish!
