Genre : Music - General

Description

Punk Sunday Matinee! Doors open at 1pm and close at 5pm.
Three amazing bands, three different styles of punk, a proper punk smorgasbord!! This fully accessible venue has close transport links and is in one of the most eclectic parts of London, Chalk Farm, just minutes away from Camden Market.
For starters we have Neovenator, a Steampunk outfit, bringing a tasty blend of psych-rock and garage scratchings served with a post-punk atmosphere and an off kilter fun show. Neovenator come with a side of some melodramatics and with a zingy tuneful sauce. Their debut album 'Songs from the end of the Pier' is out now on legendary underground label Flicknife and has enjoyed great reviews from Louder Than War and many other trusted outlets. Yum!
Onto your mains and The Noir Mates deliver an urgently mesmeric, intense and ominous set woven together with hypnotic, reverb-laden soundscapes and all to a deep, constant, driving beat. Avant Garde, jarring and disruptive. Captain Beefheart and the Doors, Sonic Youth, Gang of Four, the Fall, Bauhaus, the Cramps... It's all in there and more. Joy Division meets the Stooges, with a good measure of psychedelia thrown in.
To finish off an afternoon of delectation, lets have the wonderful maturity of Slow Faction, a 1st generation-influenced punk band with a real London 77 sound. The aim of Slow Faction is simple ? to make the music they want to hear; politically-charged songs with big hooks and choruses, reminiscent of the 1st wave of British punk. Slow Faction?s live sound has been described as a cross between The Clash and The Buzzcocks.
Feelin hungry, Punk?
