The Julian Gregory Quartet has been in existence for well over thirty years and comprises of current or former members of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra who also have a passion for jazz, folk and blues music. Julian is a very talented and versatile violinist and Ken is one of the finest jazz-bass players you could hope to hear. Peter is usually a bassist, but has recently begun transforming himself into a very fine guitarist. Matthew plays viola in the BBC Philharmonic, and has also been playing the accordion for many years.
We are delighted that the wonderful Sarah Greene will be joining us for the evening. Sarah, a fellow violist in the BBC Philharmonic also possesses a very fine jazz voice.
The programme will feature music from the Great American Songbook.
