A festival fundraiser hosted by Cheddleton Flint Mill Industrial Heritage Trust to mark the centenary of the Garretaw carnival on the Caldon Canal in 1925.
The festival village will be situated on the Flint Mill car park between the river and the canal with a specially built stage utilising the Mill as a uniquely lit backdrop to an afternoon and evening of music and various activities with both water wheels turning.
On arrival you will be issued with a wristband should you wish to explore the area and return to our site.
Bands announced so far include...
The Longshore Drifters
Slimline Shufflers
Lil' Jim
Unlucky Strike (Full Band)
Eva Väljaots & Robbie Sherratt
Heidi Browne (Duo)
The Centaurs
Plus we will have a varied playlist between sets keeping the entertainment flowing like the river throughout the day.
Our festival village site will include a bar and bbq with a dedicated chiller trailer. We will operate a Challenge 25 policy. Identification will be required for age restricted sales.
Great British Menu chef and owner of the neighbouring The Flintlock Restaurant, Thom Bateman will be hosting the Great Garretaw Picnic stall with an array of artisan goodies.
Tea, coffee and cakes will be available from the nearby moored Beatrice charity narrowboat as well as The Oatcake Boat for early arrivals wanting a mid morning munch or a Sunday morning pick me up.
The Ice Cream Lady will be bringing her van to our site for some cool afternoon treats.
Moorlands Game Hire will be on the lawn with children's activities.
Portaloos on site and an accessible toilet at the Miller's Cottage.
