Follow-up singles 'Button Down Shirt' and 'Gang of One' earned equal praise with the band finding commercial success in the US with their single 'No More Smoke...' - the song featured in both Shameless and The Magician on US TV.

High-profile shows at Truck Festival, Wychwood, Gathering Festival and support slots with Dodgy and NME darlings, Spector, have strengthened support that the band has already had from BBC Introducing Oxfordshire and BBC 6Music (Tom Robinson). Oxford?s respected music journal, Nightshift Magazine, has sighted Black Hats as ?ahead of the current crop.?

Description

Fat Lil's stands as a cornerstone of Witney's cultural landscape, a dedicated live music and comedy club that has cultivated a significant reputation across the Cotswolds. For over fifteen years, it has consistently delivered a vibrant programme, establishing itself as a vital gathering point for those seeking authentic live entertainment beyond the capital.

Within its walls, the atmosphere is one of focused anticipation, where the low thrum of conversation gives way to the sharp crackle of a guitar amplifier or the warm glow of stage lights illuminating a performer. The space feels lived-in, with the subtle scent of hops and polished wood lingering in the air, contributing to an intimate setting designed for direct engagement with the acts on stage.

The venue operates a well-stocked bar, offering a considered selection of beverages to complement the evening's proceedings. While the front bar and grill have seen a recent change in management, the core commitment to a quality experience remains. Entry to most events is restricted to those aged eighteen and over, ensuring a mature environment for patrons.

Throughout the year, Fat Lil's curates a diverse schedule, regularly featuring acclaimed tribute acts that meticulously recreate iconic performances, alongside original rock, pop, and acoustic artists. Comedy nights also form a key part of its offering, providing a platform for both established and emerging talent to connect with an appreciative audience.
