Genre : Music - General
Ceremonial Laptop and Nocturne present a triple headliner featuring: Pillow, Ben Roberts and Ceann Capaill, in a night of meditative strings and improvisation.
PILLOW - A contemporary classical group performing the dark and cinematic compositions of James Osler. Sighting influence from artists such as Jonny Greenwood, Harold Budd, Nick Drake, Max Richter and Olivier Messiaen, Pillow embarks on telling their own story of how sounds can emerge and give meaning to life's experience.
For this show, Pillow will perform a stripped-back version of the group, giving you a taster of sounds from their up-and-coming debut album as well as some new material just for the evening."

The Rose Hill stands as a testament to community resolve in Brighton, an independent, artist-led venue and creative hub that was actively preserved by local efforts from becoming luxury flats. Operating as a not-for-profit organisation, it serves as a vital cultural asset, nurturing adventurous music, performance, and artistic development for both local and national talent.
Within its walls, a considered atmosphere prevails, where the hum of conversation blends with the anticipation of performance. The lighting is often subdued, casting a warm glow over the intimate space, inviting a focused engagement with the art presented. The robust sound system, a point of pride for its musician-owners, ensures every note and spoken word resonates with clarity.
Practicalities are handled with equal care; the bar offers a thoughtful selection of interesting guest beers and premium spirits at accessible prices. The venue is actively working to enhance its accessibility for all visitors, and in its basement lies a multi-room studio complex, complete with on-site accommodation for visiting artists.
Throughout the year, The Rose Hill hosts a diverse programme, encompassing live music across various genres, experimental film screenings, engaging workshops, and performance art. It is a space where new works are developed and shared, fostering a dynamic environment for creative expression and audience discovery.
