Making its first public appearance, the Kai MacRae Quartet is brand new band made up of 4 of the most exciting young musicians on the London Jazz scene. Presenting a set made up of original music as well tunes by Horace Silver, Gary Bartz, Joe Henderson and others.
The quartet plays with a fiery, swinging intensity that focuses on interplay and group interaction.

Born in China and raised between Beijing and London, Kai MacRae is an up and coming drummer on the London Jazz scene. With a sound rooted in the Jazz tradition, he is inventing an original voice and sound on the drums, inspired by his mentors and heroes.
