A fantastic Saturday night of REBEL CHICHA at Jamboree, Imperio Bamba's original take on the exciting and traditional Peruvian chicha, infused with psychedelic rock guitars, synths and hypnotic rhythms like cumbia, salsa and merengue!
Born from migrational nostalgia in North London, IB creates a ritual for liberating the body from the sense of distance, pushing for togetherness. At the band's heart are its leading duo Jules Drade (Perú) and Javiera Limarí (Chile), collaborating with Titi Damasso and Mariel Cámara (Argentina). They have released an EP and a critically acclaimed video of the classic 'My Favourite Things', and are currently working on their first studio album.
Jamboree food option: Our ?Zer? kitchen is open from 5pm serving delicious Middle Eastern fusion food for you to enjoy a pre-gig meal/snack if you wish!
Jamboree is a grass-roots world music venue and bar hosting Folk, Blues, Americana, Celtic, Mediterranean, Eastern, European, GypsyPunk and Old Time Jazz!
Jamboree is back with a POP-UP adventure in a different venue in Limehouse from December 1st!
