?If there were ever a band which just rocks, this is it. Supremely tight, funky playing from all three musicians, it deserves to be on a huge stage in front of thousands ? but each year they return to Ashburton Arts Centre to play this amazing stuff to our small (but perfectly formed!) old chapel, where it just sounds fantastic. B.D. Lenz is a funky/jazz guitarist from the New York area and first played Ashburton Arts Centre in 2023. He has released 13 highly acclaimed recordings as a leader (featuring such jazz greats as Mike Stern, Randy Brecker, Mark Egan, Will Lee, & Joel Rosenblatt) and has played thousands of gigs in North America, UK, and Europe. His music has been featured in hundreds of TV programmes globally including ?Breaking Bad? (AMC), ?Catfish? (MTV), and ?Young Sheldon? (CBS) to name a few.
The New Jersey native has played guitar since his early teens, is a graduate of Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, and has studied with such masters as Mike Stern, Vic Juris, and Charlie Banacos along the way.
