The Fun Lovin? Criminals roll into town for an exclusive live debut of their brand new album A Matter of Time, an intimate, one-night-only performance right here at Boisdale before their 2025 world tour lifts off.
From the underground clubs of 1990s New York to global fame, FLC have always been impossible to pin down. Their sound walks the line between hip hop, funk, blues, rock and soul with the kind of swagger most bands only dream of. When Come Find Yourself landed, it went Platinum and catapulted them into cult status with anthems like ?Scooby Snacks?, famously laced with Quentin Tarantino dialogue, alongside the smooth funk of ?Love Unlimited? and the streetwise storytelling of ?King of New York?.
More than three decades on, founding member Brian ?Fast? Leiser, drummer Frank Benbini and guitarist Naim Cortazzi keep the FLC sound evolving, without ever losing that signature New York edge. Their seventh studio album A Matter of Time is already generating buzz for its return to the band?s gritty, cinematic roots, packed with sharp lyricism and irresistible grooves.
This album launch offers the first chance anywhere to hear the new material performed live, alongside a selection of the band?s greatest hits. Expect a set drenched in genre-hopping brilliance, all delivered with the effortless cool and offbeat humour that has made FLC a firm favourite from Brooklyn to Brixton.
