Because of its superb acoustics, St. James? and St. Basil?s is a wonderful space for guitar concerts. Join us for a magical evening of Spanish guitar music across the centuries. As well as famous guitar solos by native Spanish composers, the programme includes orchestral music inspired by the idea of Spain, from Bizet?s wonderful music for Carmen, to Spain by American jazz musician Chick Corea (based on the lovely slow movement of the Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo).

Hailing from Teesside, now living in Valencia, Jonathan Ross Parkin has established himself as a sensitive and versatile musician of the highest quality.
