Devizes & District Conservative Club, a distinguished Grade 2 listed building on Long Street, has long served as a central social artery for the town, functioning as a registered members' club that extends its welcome to a broader public for a diverse calendar of events. It consistently acts as a gathering point, hosting everything from local society meetings to larger community celebrations.
Inside, the atmosphere is one of comfortable familiarity, where the subtle scent of polished wood and the low hum of conversation blend with the occasional clack of snooker balls from the dedicated tables. The lounge and front bar areas offer a relaxed setting, their furnishings inviting patrons to settle in for an evening of camaraderie or quiet contemplation.
Beyond the main social spaces, a beautiful garden area provides a tranquil outdoor retreat. The club ensures accessibility for all, with disabled access provided throughout. Two well-stocked bars offer a wide selection of drinks, including local real ales, at competitive prices, complemented by a 5-star kitchen and in-house catering for various functions.
Throughout the year, the club's rooms host a varied programme, from regular dances and engaging quizzes to art society gatherings and other ad-hoc entertainment. Its adaptable spaces are also frequently booked for private events, accommodating everything from intimate meetings to larger celebratory occasions.
