Comedy films take many forms, visual and verbal, the cruel and the sensitive, the belly-achingly funny and the wryly amusing. Comedy consequently produces many sub-genres: romantic comedies, slapstick, spoof, gross-out humour, screwball and so on. This event will look at the various ways comedy makes us laugh in a discussion focused on clips and audience participation.
