The island of ITHACA is the mythological paradigm of 'the home.' The hero Odysseus dreams of his return to the paradise island where his kingdom and Penelope await. However, the return is neither easy nor always as desirable.
Join Poetry Mondays as London poets and singer-songwriters unravel the labyrinth of our bonds with home. We have performers from all over the world and we are fascinated by their stories and their thoughts on their own personal ITHACAS.
Though 'Ithaca' is not always the place we were born. It is sometimes an idea. A person who makes us feel safe and whole. 'ITHACA' is sometimes a song.
