Wasted Youth present 'Xmas Revisited'

Wasted Youth were indie chart regulars in the early 80s post-punk scene, and toured the UK with The Only Ones, the Psychedelic Furs, Toyah, Classix Nouveaux and Modern English, to name but a few. Their 1981 album ?Wild and Wandering? is widely considered to be an overlooked classic and has sold in excess of 25,000 copies in its lifetime.
Heavily influenced by The Velvet Underground, The Doors and Iggy Pop, they forged an exciting sound and explosive live show, and regularly featured in the UK and European music press. Post-Punk, Pre-Goth, New Psychedelia, take your pick, Wasted Youth weren?t tied to any passing fashion or genre of the day, giving their music a timeless quality. Their new album ?Neo Noir? was recorded over several months and features nine original compositions. Released in July (2025), ?Neo Noir? captures the band in exciting and vibrant form, and sounds both contemporary and fresh...but unlike anybody else.
Wasted Youth round off their most successful year since reforming with a special ?Xmas Reinvented? show at The Lexington in Islington on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Not only is it the venue they originally chose to announce their reformation in 2022, it is also a great venue for a host of reasons. Firstly, it has tiered viewing, so wherever you stand you can be sure of a good vantage point. Secondly, the sound and lights are top-notch, and thirdly, we picked The Lexington because it?s super-friendly and attitude-free. Specially invited guests for the evening are The DeRellas, a superb ?In ya face Rock n Roll? band who will do their best to tear the place up! Also on the bill is our go-to DJ Jeffrey Munday, who will keep you entertained, enthralled and excited?and we can?t wait.

The Lexington is a classic London boozer turned lounge bar, with a hint of Kentucky charm and lashings of rock & roll excess. Enjoy award winning food served up with our favourite American craft beers or just lounge around in our baroque mezzanine exploring the best bourbon selection in London. If you like it a little bit louder, head upstairs for the latest and greatest bands in our live venue. Then dance the night away with our family of music loving DJs, playing everything from 20s jazz to the newest indie through the sea of counter-cultural sounds into the wee small hours.
The Lexington is an early Victorian building and as such is not easily accessible for anyone with limited mobility. While the main bar is on the ground floor and accessible without steps the music venue is up a flight of stairs. We’re happy to help with access where possible.
