Join political expert Andrew Blick in conversation with leading constitutional expert Sir Vernon Bogdanor as they explore the strengths and cracks in Britain?s unwritten constitution. Drawing on Andrew's latest book Could It Happen Here?, co-authored with Peter Hennessy, this thought-provoking talk examines how resilient our democracy really is ? and what we can do to protect it.
Andrew Blick is Professor of Politics and Contemporary History at King?s College London and Director of the Constitution Society. A leading expert on UK democracy, he has worked in Parliament and at 10 Downing Street and is the author of several books on British politics and constitutional reform.
Sir Vernon Bogdanor is one of the UK?s leading constitutional experts and author of Making the Weather: Six Politicians Who Changed Modern Britain. A Research Professor at King?s College London and former Professor of Government at Oxford, he has advised governments around the world and written extensively on British politics and democracy. He was awarded a CBE in 1998 and was knighted in 2023 for services to political science.
