The Universal Hall stands as a testament to community vision within The Park Ecovillage, Findhorn, serving as a significant cultural asset for Moray and beyond. Conceived and built by hand over a decade, it operates as a vibrant hub, delivering a diverse programme of events and fostering local engagement through its social enterprise, Universal Hall Promotions.
Inside, the hall offers a distinctive atmosphere, shaped by its hand-crafted origins. The cool, smooth touch of its inspiring stone masonry contrasts with the warm light filtering through a dramatic stained-glass window, creating a space that feels both substantial and uplifting. Its renowned acoustics ensure clarity and depth for every performance.
Practical considerations are well-addressed, with wheelchair access facilitated via a dedicated side entrance adjacent to the Phoenix Café. This on-site café provides refreshments, and ample parking is available for visitors attending events.
Throughout the year, the venue hosts a broad spectrum of artistic and community gatherings, from contemporary and traditional music concerts to classical performances, touring theatre productions, dance, film screenings, and educational workshops. It regularly accommodates conferences, festivals, and local community meetings.
