The London-based French-Swiss composer, singer and producer No?mie Ducimeti?re has worked across many corners of the music industry. It began with operating lights in a fringe theatre evolving into singing songs between acts, and many years later, revisiting the theatrical world to perform with a circus troupe, playing live soundtracks for daily shows. In film and radio, she has scored numerous short films and audio pieces and featured in 40+ film festivals, most notably creating the immersive soundtrack for the eight-part BBC audio adventure Hold Fast!.
As a founding member and soloist of the medieval collective Idr?s? Ensemble, No?mie has performed both headline and collaborative shows at some of London?s most acclaimed venues, including the Royal Albert Hall and KOKO. Yet where her diverse background truly culminates is in her work as a songwriter and digger?a path she follows devotedly under the moniker Noum.
What Noum is the most passionate about is storytelling through song. Whether performing solo with foot percussion or alongside drummer Ayman Sinada and bassist Mandy Nossen, she accompanies herself with electric guitar and a beloved tube amp, mixing originals with heavily adapted trad songs from throughout Europe and the Mediterranean, weaving in storytelling that engages, amuses and connects.
Green Note was founded by two friends and passionate music lovers who wanted to create their ideal place to hang out in London...
Our dream was to create a place where we could share music that we loved – somewhere with a laid back, intimate and friendly atmosphere. Becoming friends in our school days, the seed for our idea was planted many years ago. After lots of hard work, many ups and downs, and learning more than we ever could have imagined along the way, our dream became a reality when Green Note opened its doors in the Summer of 2005. Now in our fourteenth year, we have established a reputation as one of London’s best spots for roots, world and acoustic music, and we’re constantly astonished by the wealth of incredible musicians who grace our stage. We’re really proud of what we have created, and happy to be able to share it with you.
