Jake Martin is back ? and this time he?s bringing the band!
If you were lucky enough to catch their December show at Billy?s, then you already know this is going to be one hell of a night.
Jake has toured relentlessly for over a decade and has carved out a loyal, dedicated fanbase across the UK. Expect high energy and crowd-wide singalongs from start to finish!
As if that wasn?t enough, main support comes from the legendary Gaz Brookfield.
West-country based Gaz Brookfield is an award-winning solo acoustic musician with two number-one albums to his name.
He has spent the last fifteen years tirelessly touring the UK and beyond, building a strong and loyal following wherever he goes.
Brookfield was the first independent musician to sell out Bristol?s The Fleece (450 cap), The Bierkeller (750 cap), and more recently, SWX (1000 cap).
With an impressive ten-album back catalogue, his ninth record Morning Walking Club earned him his first Official UK Folk Albums Chart number one in 2023.
His second number-one came in September 2025 when Waiting for Wisdom topped the Official UK Download Chart.
Not bad for a fiercely independent artist with no label, no manager, no agent ? just a guitar, a van, and a stubborn refusal to give in.
Top it all off with an opening set from local Nottingham legend George Gadd, and you?ve got yourself an absolute winner of a night.
Grab those tickets ? we?ll see you down the front!
Description
The Old Cold Store serves as a vital cultural artery within Nottingham, a distinctive events venue rooted in the city's brewing heritage. Part of the Castle Rock Brewery complex on Queensbridge Road, it stands as a testament to adaptive reuse, transforming industrial history into a dynamic space for contemporary arts and community gatherings. It is a cherished home for Nottingham's diverse music and arts scene, contributing significantly to the city's cultural landscape.
Inside, the venue reveals its past as a refrigerated warehouse, now an industrial-chic hall. High ceilings soar above exposed brickwork and robust metal trusses, creating an atmosphere that feels both raw and authentic. The air often carries the faint, clean scent of hops from the adjacent brewery, a subtle reminder of its origins, while the polished concrete floor reflects the stage lights, adding to the gritty, warehouse aesthetic.
Practically appointed for a range of functions, the venue features a full-sized bar offering Castle Rock ales and other refreshments. Restrooms, including accessible facilities, are readily available. Its location, a short walk from Nottingham railway station, ensures ease of access for attendees, and a dedicated outdoor area provides space for respite.
Throughout the year, The Old Cold Store hosts a broad spectrum of events. From vibrant live music performances spanning various genres to engaging club nights, it also accommodates private functions, banquets, and conferences. The space regularly welcomes community-focused markets and gatherings, reflecting its role beyond purely commercial ventures.
