Jokes and Spokes with James Acaster, for The Bike Project Event Title Pic

Description

The Bike Project's Jokes and Spokes charity comedy night is back! We hope you're ready for a night of side-splitting, roof-raising laughter in support of refugees.

We have a fantastic line-up to keep you laughing all night. Enjoy stand-up sets by multi-award-winning comedians James Acaster, Janine Harouni, Catherine Bohart, Jack Barry and more on 10th March.

Best of all, your ticket proceeds will support The Bike Project's work to give refugees refurbished bikes across the UK, giving them freedom and independence. Every ticket bought could cover the cost of a cycle safety kit, keeping a refugee safe on the roads.

So, bring your mates to Union Chapel for a great time!

The line-up includes:

James Acaster (Off Menu, Taskmaster)

?Comic genius? ? Evening Standard

Janine Harouni (debut on BBC?s Live at the Apollo became one of the most-watched in the show?s history)

"The smoothest of comics... a marvel" - The Guardian

Catherine Bohart (Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week)

"Keeps the laughs coming? - The Times

Jack Barry (featured in Mae Martin?s Netflix comedy drama, FEEL GOOD).

"Hilarious and timely" - The Sunday Post

Plus more special guests joining for a night of great entertainment!

Please note line-up is subject to change.

Description

Inspiring Space, Inspiring Lives

Union Chapel is an award winning music venue in Islington, North London. But it’s more than that, it’s Victorian Gothic architectural jewel, that’s still a working church, home to an incredible organ and the base for The Margins Project which works with people facing homelessness and isolation.

Coming to an event at Union Chapel supports the conservation and development of the building. Union Chapel operates as a charity dedicated to looking after the space and opening it to a diverse group of people. In the past 25 years the Chapel has gone from facing demolition to being Grade 1 listed and from being virtually abandoned to welcoming tens of thousands of visitors a year.

We have been voted London’s favourite venue in public polls an amazing three times, in 2002, 2012 and 2014.
