A Wirral venue has confirmed it is serving up more hilarious comedy nights in 2026 starting with a frighteningly good line-up on Friday the 13th of February.
Thornton Hough Village Club & Bar?s venture into comedy have proved a runaway success since they were launched in 2024 by DBN Events headed up by Dean Boodaghians-Nolan (pictured on the Thornton Hough Village Club stage), an actor who lives in the village.
And the nights make a triumphant return on Friday, February 13.
The night will be headlined by the incredible DAVE LONGLEY ? as seen on BBC 3 and DAVE ? a comedian who has done tour support for John Bishop, Matt Bragg, Troy Hawke, Fern Brady and many more. His comic genius has also seen him enlisted as a writer for 8 out of 10 Cats and Live at the Apollo.

The opening act is British Comedian of the Year semi-finalist Helen White who dubs herself ?vertically challenged?.
Although small in stature, she is giant in terms of laughs with the dynamic and engaging North East-based comedian performing on professional comedy nights across the UK, bringing a confident stage presence and ability to engage with diverse audiences of any size as she thrills audiences with observational humour on family, ageing and life?s mysteries. The show will be hosted by quick-fire gag merchant Ben Turner, a World One Liner Championship and Comedy Cellar Yorkshire New Act of the Year finalist.

Food will be available from a local vendor on the night.
The comedy nights are the brainchild of Dean Boodaghians-Nolan (pictured on the Thornton Hough Village Club stage), an actor who lives in the village.
Dean, whose acting CV includes Disney?s new Snow White movie and House of the Dragon brought the much-loved comedy nights to Thornton Hough Village Club as part of his passion to ensure the community he loves has a wide-range of entertainment options in a venue that is already renowned for attracting brilliant performers for its live music nights.
Further comedy nights are scheduled to take place on, Friday, April 10; Friday, June 12; Friday, September 11; and Friday,November 13.
