GLAM45
Formed in 2012 by various members of John Rossall's Glitter Band, Smashed, The Stiffs and Sweet Addiction, Glam45 give as authentic a 70s Glam Rock Experience as possible, with renditions of classic 70s Glam and Glitter tunes and with original 70s Glam Rock outfits and modern reproductions of classic 70s Glam Rock styles.
Playing alongside the likes of 70s legends such as: Suzi Quatro, Slade, Alan Merrill and the Arrows, Showaddywaddy, Mud II, The Rollers, Rubettes, the late Alvin Stardust plus many more.
Members of Glam45 have honed their playing skills for many years. They have played auditoria, theatres, clubs, holiday camps, hotels, conference centres, armed forces bases, sports stadia, festivals and outdoor events, in the UK and Europe, presenting their professionalism and showmanship to several hundred thousand audience members at countless shows over the years.
Playing all the greats from the Sweet, The Glitter Band, Marc Bolan, T-Rex, David Bowie, Mott the Hoople, Roxy Music, Suzi Quatro, The Arrows, Abba, Alvin Stardust, Mud, Showaddywaddy... Glam45 are putting the Rock back into Glam Rock.
SWEET45
Sweet (sometimes billed as The Sweet) were a Glam Rock band that rose to worldwide fame in the 1970s, with their most famous line-up being: Brian Connolly (lead vocals), Andy Scott (guitarist), Steve Priest (bass player) and Mick Tucker (drummer). Sweet45 are a tribute to this era of SWEET. Formed by the members of 70s Glam Rock tribute band, Glam45.
Using no backing tracks, samplers or artificial harmonies (unlike some tributes on the circuit) just four highly talented and experienced musicians with a re-creation of the great SWEET live shows from the 70s that fans know and love.
Description
A very iconic Derby public house famed for its range of real ales.
It is also one of Derby's few live music venues.
The building consists of a front room with bar and seating continuing round into the rest of the bar area. There is also a small comfortable seating area in the back bar area with a viewing panel of the pubs stillage.
Free acoustic sessions: Monday 8pm, Wednesday 9pm and Sunday 4pm to 7pm.
Nepalese cuisine 7pm to 9pm every Tuesday.
Children welcome until 9pm
