Description
Thornton Hough Village Club present Alun Parry plus special guest Andy Connally.
Alun Parry brings his 5-piece band to The Wirral for an evening of hopeful, uplifting songs telling inspiring stories of social and personal change. Alun is a socially conscious storytelling songwriter, described by R2 Magazine as "an incurable champion of ordinary people."
His songs and sound reflect the special geography of his Liverpool hometown, the foot stomping lilt of nearby Ireland and the gritty North American folk style of troubadours like Woody Guthrie. All laced with a Lennonesque twang.
ANDY CONNALLY is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrument musician who crafts his own vulnerabilities and life experiences into song and music. Having performed and toured with many bands, Andy's repertoire of writing and performance holds influence from traditional, modern, and contemporary folk. Andy lays bare his soul in words and music in a way that will connect and resonate. "Great storyteller... evocative and wistful" (festivals uk online magazine review)
