This exciting young wind quintet returns with a varied programme including pieces by Mozart and Reicha. Reicha's wind quintets, Mozartian in flavour, took Paris by storm when premiered in the early 19th century.

Inspiring music from world-renowned harpist Ieuan Jones and his former pupil, Alis Huws, now Official Royal Harpist, who played at the King's coronation. You will hear scintillating solos, including Listz's Benediction de Dieu dans la solitude and Lizotte's Suite Galactique, plus some divine duets.

A change of name for the New Allegri, established by former Allegri Quartet violinist Rafael Todes. They performed at Llanfyllin last year to great acclaim. Their programme is: Purcell - Chacony, Borodin - String quartet no.2 and Schubert's Death and the Maiden.

The second concert at Llanfyllin by this prestigious string quartet to round off this year's Festival. They will play Haydn's Op. 76 no. 5 "Largo", Mendelssohn's String quartet Op. 13, and, a special treat, Schubert's String quintet D 956 with guest cellist.
