The Torrs is remembered by many as The Bees Knees or The Crown. It has been the scene of many memories for local people.

It is hoped that the markets will help to bring people back into the town centre. We are keen to provide different makets on different days, do send any ideas to us. We will have 5 units that can be shared. They are a good size, 13-21 square metres. Book a day at a time. There will also be a cafe. Available for special events on other days.

The Butterfly House after having transformed the interior from tired old 80’s pub to Glam Shabby Chic. One of the most exciting features of this transformation is the discovery and renovation of the original 1840’s Tiled Floor as restored lovingly by Kevin Dowd. Wooden floor boards were also exposed and a Wood Burning Stove installed in one of the front rooms. The wooden paneling in the front two rooms and the Bar, were given a stunning makeover by local company Verdebris who specialise in Interior Design, Makeover Service for unique Furnishings, upcycled Furniture and decorative salvage furniture.
The cafe is now fully Licensed and operates as a Cafe Bar specialising in Artisan dishes that are all made In-House and that draw from British, Mediterranean & Middle Eastern Cuisine. The menu focuses on Vegetarian/Vegan options that can be supplemented with Meat dishes for those that wish. Our ethos is to make the menu as inclusive as possible for all lovers of Vegetarian, Vegan & Meat dishes without making any of those choices marginal or limited. We also include Gluten Free options too as part of the standard menu. A large selection of freshly made Butterfly House made cakes grace the bar in glass domes and a full range of Beers, Lagers, locally brewed Real Ales, Spirits, Ciders & Wines are stocked

The proprietor of The Butterfly House, Jilah Bakhshayesh is a Singer & Musician and is rapidly making the Cafe Bar a regular Live Venue for an eclectic mix of musical styles.
The Butterfly House is large enough to accommodate large groups of people and as such is used for Private Functions such as Parties, Wakes, Weddings, Anniversaries & Business Team Meetings in addition to the regular public opening hours.
