London Stone

The London Stone in Staines-upon-Thames stands as a significant cultural anchor within the local landscape. Originally a 19th-century coaching inn, it has evolved into a grassroots music venue, actively supporting local bands and fostering a vibrant performance scene. Recognised as an Asset of Community Value, it serves as a gathering point, contributing to the town's social fabric beyond its commercial offerings.

Inside, the venue cultivates a lively yet grounded atmosphere, where the murmur of conversation blends with the resonant thrum of live music. The interior features a distinctive, perhaps "quirky," decor, with the warmth of a real fire often adding a comforting glow during cooler evenings. Patrons often find themselves drawn into the energetic flow, whether dancing or simply enjoying the camaraderie.

Beyond the main performance space, a paved courtyard offers an outdoor retreat. While street parking is limited, a nearby pay-and-display car park provides convenient access. The bar boasts a comprehensive selection, from local craft beers to an array of international gins and rums, catering to varied palates.
