About The CuckooVenue Type: Pub (Gastropub)
When you want to eat out, you couldn’t do better than visit The Cuckoo. You’ll find menus that tempt the tastebuds and an ambience that is stylish, welcoming and relaxed.
You’ll get a truly gastronomic experience with a sophisticated menu. Chef Brendon chooses the best produce available from the fishmonger, the butcher and the greengrocer. If there’s something really good available, that will appear on the menu at lunch and dinner! Although there is a seasonal menu with standard dishes, you’ll find the special options an adventure in taste, texture and temptation every time you visit!
If you haven’t visited The Cuckoo before you’ll love the warm, elegant, country style with a wood-burning stove to keep you cosy in winter and rustic dining outside on warm summer days.
The Cuckoo is designed in a rustic style – and seats 35 comfortably, so it’s not a huge and heaving environment, but a relaxed, welcoming and stylish Gastro pub, with a small bar featuring a wood burning stove.
Soft colours and clean lines combine ‘country kitchen’ with ‘elegant and modern’ perfectly. Subtle music plays in the background – but not too loud to prevent you having a conversation with your companions, just creating a relaxing ambience.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday and discerning diners know it’s important to book ahead to be sure of their table, it’s a very popular place for a sophisticated lunch or dinner with friends or family. Although we don't have facilities, space or a menu for children, we don’t mind well behaved children. When the weather permits you are more than welcome to dine or just come for a drink in the garden. You’ll find the staff are dedicated to giving you great food and relaxed dining; so you won’t be hurried away.
