McAtees Bar

McAtee's Bar & Restaurant stands as a long-standing fixture on Fintona's Main Street, its presence woven into the fabric of the community for over a century. Operating as a public house since 1910, this establishment has evolved through generations, consistently serving as a central gathering point for locals and visitors alike, a testament to its enduring role beyond mere commerce.

Inside, the atmosphere is one of considered comfort, where the warmth from the oil-fired central heating permeates the space, inviting patrons to settle in. The interior, thoughtfully rebuilt in 2004, features a distinctive, quirky design with a mix of booths and longer tables, offering both intimate corners and communal settings. The gentle hum of conversation often fills the air, punctuated by the clinking of glasses.

Beyond the main bar, an impressive outdoor beer garden provides a spacious retreat, while practical amenities include dedicated off-sales access and ample parking to the rear. The extensive beverage selection ranges from well-poured pints to a recently introduced cocktail menu, complementing a diverse food offering that spans from hearty steaks to imaginative burgers.

Throughout the year, McAtee's hosts a variety of engagements, from regular live music performances that draw a lively crowd to private functions and community-focused gatherings. These events, often held in the adaptable function areas or the expansive outdoor space, reinforce its position as a dynamic hub for social and cultural activity within the town.
