With the interior refurbishment works largely complete, the King's Head now looks superb. A popular fixture in the town centre real ale scene, conveniently situated at the grade one listed railway station. It is a very friendly pub which serves ten beers. (four regular, six guest) all top quality and sold at competitive prices. There are always two dark ales, and real cider on handpull is also available. Live bands play on Sunday afternoons. It can get very busy at the weekends due to the real ale trail.
