Weston Homes Stadium (Peterborough United Football Club)

The Weston Homes Stadium, home to Peterborough United Football Club, stands as a significant civic asset in Peterborough. Beyond its primary role in professional sport, this venue serves as a dynamic hub for regional events, drawing visitors and participants from across the East of England. It embodies a commitment to community engagement, actively supporting local initiatives through the Peterborough United Foundation, which leverages the power of sport for social good.

Inside, the stadium offers a blend of traditional football ground character and modern event space. The air often carries the faint scent of freshly cut grass on match days, contrasting with the polished surfaces and subtle lighting of its corporate suites and function rooms. Seating areas, from the robust rail seats of the London Road End to the more contemporary stands, provide varied perspectives, each imbued with the echoes of past crowds and anticipation of future gatherings.

While primarily an urban stadium, the venue is well-integrated into its surroundings, with accessible routes from the city centre and public transport links. Comprehensive accessibility provisions include numerous wheelchair spaces and easy-access seating, ensuring comfort for all attendees. A range of refreshment options are available, from casual matchday fare to more formal catering within dedicated hospitality areas.

Throughout the year, the Weston Homes Stadium hosts a diverse calendar of activities beyond football fixtures. These include corporate meetings, exhibitions, and celebratory functions, alongside community-focused initiatives such as holiday camps and health and wellbeing programmes. It regularly accommodates fairs, festivals, and special screenings, establishing itself as a versatile location for both large-scale public events and intimate private gatherings.
