About The George and Dragon

Venue Type: Pub

Began life as Chester's George & Dragon. It changed to the Phoenix but in doing so jettisoned the cask ale.

After a number of years in the keg wilderness, it became a more-upmarket food-led Greene King house. Reverted to the George & Dragon name in February 2014.

A long, low building with a mock-Tudor look to its exterior, inside it is a series of areas formed from the former rooms. Comfortable, with a good mix of clientele.
