The Victoria Walshaw is located in the attractive rural setting of Walshaw Village, Bury.

Featuring an attractive bar with cosy adjacent areas for drinkers and diners alongside our restaurant seating up to 48 guests.

Our menu offers an exciting blend of top quality, locally sourced ingredients; combined with our Head Chef Lee Fielding’s vast experience, flair and originality promising a menu for all tastes.

Built in 1815 as a weaver’s cottage, The Victoria has come a long way since the Duke of Wellington’s days. It was apparently first licensed in 1860 and run by Titus Turner and his family.



The Victoria Bar, Restaurant and Guest House was re launched in March in 2017, with a focus of creating a warm friendly environment on the verge of the countryside, offering good quality local food, drinks, entertainment and accommodation.



With the tag line “Bringing ‘The Vic’ back to the village” The Victoria, Walshaw prides itself in links with the local community so far including hosting a monthly Craft Club, Book Club and providing a meeting place for the PTA. We have strong connections with Christ Church, Walshaw and look forward to developing these further.

From a light lunch to a special occasion; fresh fish, great steaks and traditional home cooked classics combine to offer an exciting blend of top quality, locally sourced ingredients. We offer a wide range of vegetarian and gluten free dishes, with vegan meals available on request. Our Head Chef Richard McClung's vast experience, flair and originality promises a menu for all tastes.
