Marske Brass Band was formed in 1875 and has been delighting audiences ever since with a repertoire of traditional brass band music and arrangements of popular tunes of the day.

Almost a century and half later the band is thriving under the baton of local legend Alun Prest with a busy concert and competition schedule, not to mention the excellent junior section (of which the band is very proud).

Players are assured of a very warm welcome by this famously friendly band whether experienced or new to the brass band world.

Although Marske Band is rightly proud of its reputation as one of the most inclusive and friendly bands in the North East it is the music that is ultimately the number one priority for all players.

Truly the global language, making great music with good friends is one of the most rewarding pursuits.
