Chippenham Town Band is a Brass and Wind Band which plays a wide range of music. We tend to play at fetes, balls and concerts; with seasonal variations e.g. carolling, park events. Instruments include woodwind, brass and percussion. There are over 15 regular members, however some events may feature a smaller group. We play music from most genres: Big Band, theme tunes, classical and marches, to name but a few!

Alan Horner has been the Band Master since the band was reformed in 1992, having received his Band Master Certificate in 1974. He started playing brass instruments in 1947 and has played in various bands both as a professional and an amateur, performing in Germany, France, Gibraltar, Cyprus and all over the UK. Alan is now retired but still enjoys playing the flugel horn and trumpet.

We rehearse every Monday 7:15 – 9:15pm (except on Bank Holidays and in December) at The Cause, 42 The Causeway, Chippenham, SN15 3DD.
