Codename Colin are a six piece ska-punk band from Hertfordshire who have spent the last two and a half years bringing their energetic live show to crowds around the UK: exciting the audience in the way only a ska punk band can – with catchy beats and impressive horn driven hooks.
Their live show primarily comprises of songs from their debut EP ‘Outgunned’ (2017), which is a 7 track celebration of the third wave of ska. Along the way they also find time to throw in a couple of surprising covers, which have been given the full ska-punk treatment in a way that never fails to get the crowd skanking and bouncing around.
Since releasing “Outgunned”, the band have hit the ground running, playing sold out shows in hometown venue ‘The Rose and Crown’, and making a second home at London’s ‘New Cross Inn,’ supporting bands like The Popes of Chillitown, Captain Accident and The Disasters, and The Toasters.
2018 kicked off with more lively shows around the country, but things really started hotting up when the band were shortlisted for the Rocksound Breakout competition to play Slam Dunk South festival. Their strong fan-base rallied around alongside new audiences to vote for the band and they won the competition, earning themselves a spot in a festival line up which also featured the likes of Capdown, Goldfinger and Reel Big Fish. The Breakout Stage tent was bouncing and overflowing with over 1000 fans, as Codename Colin delivered the crowd their signature ska-punk sounds
