Brentlee broke the ice playing around the open mic circuit in Shropshire. His extraordinary talent shone and he was soon 'spotted' by local celebrity musicians, Miles Hunt of The Wonderstuff and Tony McPhee of The Groundhogs. Recording early songs in McPhee's home studio and supporting The Groundhogs gave him the confidence to contribute two songs to Hunt's 'Shared 2' album.
