About The Downliners Sect
Over the years the music of
The Downliners Sect has continued to develop whilst firmly retaining it's roots and reputation for high energy R&B.
The band is led by founder Don Craine on guitar & vocals; original frontman Keith Grant on vocals & bass.
Guitarist Del Dwyer is now a long term and well established member of the band.
In 2007, the harmonica player Paul Martin left the band and was replaced by John O'Leary. His first live gig with the Sect was in Skutskär during The Sect's 2007 Swedish tour.
In January 2010 drummer Al Books was succeeded by Mark Freeman
