The Fiends are an alternative / indie rock band with a punk edge from the pretty shitty city of Swansea, Wales. Formed during the global pandemic and writing music through lockdown, the band released their debut single “Glitz & Glamour” on 5th February 2021 - receiving 1000+ streams in the first 24 hours, the song really hit the mark and got the band off the ground. The follow up, second studio single “Teen Aspirations” was released on 28th May 2021 and received a great reception across social media - given that the band were still unable to play live due to the ongoing pandemic, they utilised their time wisely and optimised their online promotion. As restrictions lifted in Wales, the band finally made their live debut on 7th August 2021 to a SOLD OUT crowd at The Bunkhouse, Swansea. Since this, the band have gone from strength to strength - dominating their local music scene and playing multiple sold out shows, including a recent main support slot to a 500 person crowd with THE SNUTS at Swansea’s prestigious venue - Sin City. To kick off 2022, The Fiends show no signs of slowing down with multiple live shows planned including Bristol, Cardiff, Bridgwater & more. The band released their new single “Small Talk (Doesn’t stand a chance)” on 14th February and followed this up with a promotional tour across the UK in March - with shows in Swansea, London, Swindon, Leicester & Southampton, during this they completely sold out their hometown show in Swansea and this was on a Wednesday! Another massive gig for the lads was supporting Peter Hook (Joy Division) & The Light at the Party in The Pews festival in Macclesfield on May 2nd which is sold out completely. Following that we have played another headline show which again sold out, to celebrate the release of our most recent single ‘Why’s it So Liberating?’.
