Description

Three piece doom/ stoner/ sludge band from Rotherham, England.

Formed originally as two-piece in 2016 as a way of keeping a pair of grown ups out of trouble on a Thursday evening, this spawned in to a writing and recording project. A two track release was put out in 2017 featuring Jamie Rhodes on vocals. Shawn Denton joined on bass mid-2018 with Jon Rhodes taking over vocal duties aswell as guitar and Swamp Coffin morphed in to a fully fledged live band.
So far Swamp Coffin have supported the likes of King Witch, OHHMS and Secret Cutter and will feature on the lineup for Doomlines V in Sheffield on 21st July 2019.
The forthcoming EP “Flatcap Bastard Features” is set to be recorded in May 2019 with a planned September release.
“Heavy, oppressive and a bit miserable. Sometimes it's believable that where you are from shapes your art.”- Holy Spider Promotions
“If they were any heavier they’d fall through the floor”- Patrick Lemire
