CID where formed in the mid 80s by Chris Stone, Dave Ball & Martin Oliver they where later joined by Mark Welby Blood & Dava Rowe who replaced Martin on drums. They played in & around the Staffordshire area gaining a large & devoted following. During this time CID released the Just In Case EP & the Santa s Cumming live LP. In 1986 Dave Ball left to form The Lemon drops, Mark Welby Blood formed The Gripe Water 4 which after a few appearances on TV change their name to As Seen on TV & went on to win the The NSSCE Award 2002, meanwhile Chris Sinclair carried on under the new name of Chris Stone & the CBGBs Band. But in 2013 CID decided to get back together with their original line up of Chris Stone keyboard/vocals, Dave Ball guitar/shouty bits, Martin Oliver drums/complicated singy bits also bringing Mark Welby Blood back in on bass. At the end of 2013 & to celebrate the success of their reunion year they wrote & released a Christmas-Santa's Comin'
