The Runaways have been established since 1982 with 3 of the original members still in the band! They are Kent and Surrey based, playing all over the UK and parts of Europe.

It is said to be the oldest club in historic Market Town of Maidstone located in Brewer Street near to the River Medway and easy walking distance to two excellent shopping centre's-The Mall and Fremlin Walk, Maidstone Museum.

The club has a fully stocked bar serving drinks at very reasonable prices.

The lounge has plenty of comfy seats either on the raised area or down by the dartboard to have a nice quiet drink or to socialise with other members.

There is a dedicated snooker room with 2 tables to use.

We have a lovely beer garden that is located at the rear of the property also we have a designated separate smoking shelter.

Bingo nights every Wednesday at 8pm and Sunday at 7.45pm.

The club is always looking out for new members to introduce into club.
Pop-in and meet new people and enjoy a drink with us.

To become a member of the working men's club you need to pick up an application form from the club. Once the application form is completed with two references from current members please return the form to the club accompanied with the relevant application fee to meet a club official. Your application will then be put to the committee for approval.

It is £28 per person (male or female) to become a member of the club
and become CIU affiliated which means you can visit any other CIU affiliated club.
Senior citizens £14 per year.
One off joining fee of £20 applies.
Membership is per person and cannot be held in a joint name.
Applicants must be 18 years old or older and children must be supervised at all times.
