Cosmic Ninja are a powerhouse of energy with their unique fusion of rock, rave and punk sounds; combining an anti establishment message with joyful exuberance and positivity.
Described as “able to deliver for the big occasions†(Bristol Pride) and “truly a visual spectacle†(Tap the Feed Magazine) they never fail to bring down the house. Highly in demand for festivals all over the country, their raucously infectious set on the main stage at the 10,000+ capacity Bristol Pride Day was a fitting high to an extraordinary 2022 summer.
Following their critically successful 2022 EP release "Dissident Transmission", mixed by Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Bury Tomorrow) and the upcoming release of the anticipated new Ep entitled "Filth", produced by John Mitchell (You Me At Six, Architects); Spring 2023 will see them touring 15 dates across the UK.
Rough Trade Bristol stands as a significant cultural anchor within the city, extending the renowned Rough Trade ethos to the South West. Since its opening, it has cultivated a reputation as a vital platform for both established and emerging artists, fostering a vibrant ecosystem for independent music and creative expression within the community.
Inside, the venue embraces a raw authenticity, with exposed brickwork and robust architectural features that speak to its industrial past. The air often carries the subtle scent of freshly pressed vinyl mingling with the aroma of coffee from the bar, creating an atmosphere that is both unpretentious and deeply engaging for patrons.
Beyond its performance space, the venue incorporates a well-stocked record store and a welcoming café and bar area. It offers comprehensive accessibility, featuring street-level entry, a ground-floor performance area, and accessible toilet facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors.
The programming here is consistently varied, encompassing a spectrum of live performances, album launch events, and artist signings. It regularly champions a diverse array of genres, providing a crucial stage for local talent and national acts to connect with audiences in an intimate setting.
