The 'Birnie Boozle Band' were formed in 2006, and play traditional melodies from around the world, such as reels, jigs, waltzes, polkas, and hornpipes. Instruments featured are accordion, guitar, flute, and mandolin.
We play at Charity events and summer Fetes throughout Hampshire on an 'expenses only' basis to cover the cost of fuel and public liability insurance. Private social occasions can be catered for at a very reasonable rate.
Our P.A. system is sufficient for small to medium venues, and for outdoor events we tailor the sound level to meet the requirements and the general event program. We supply our own marquee and generator, if required.
This is a traditional public park situated on the west side of town. Beautifully maintained, it was created in 1920 from a 5 acre meadow, surrounded on three sides by the River Test.
Perfect for a stroll or to sit and enjoy one of the regular concerts in the Bandstand, the parks facilities include a cafe, lawn bowls club, fishing, formal gardens, inclusive children’s playground, tennis courts, toilets and seating. The tennis is free and the cafe lend out rackets and balls.
Bandstand concerts take place on Sundays throughout the summer.
