The Blue Pig Orchestra consists of band members Mike Rolland on guitar, mandolin, harmonica, vocals and (occasionally) banjo, Jo Byrne on guitar, vocals and piano, Darren Rice on guitar and vocals, Mark Mitchell on drums and vocals and Stuart Emery on bass. The band’s newest member is Richard Curran who is on violin, viola, cello, mandolin (as well as any other stringed instrument he can get his hands on).

The ‘orchestra’ formed in 2007 and Mike and Jo have played together for over fifteen years. Mike and Jo first played together in an REM tribute band. Alongside their covers of popular songs, they started to include their own written songs into their repertoire. Their first EP is called Witches. Their second EP is From the Storm and was released last year.

The original railway station serving the town of “Leafy” Lytham, Station Pub & Grill is one of the town’s most popular venues, welcoming customers from across the Fylde coast and beyond.

The Station, Pub & Grill is a local pub welcoming drinkers, diners and dog walkers, both young and old, with great food, fantastic beers and amazing entertainment in the form of the finest local and national touring bands.

Our food is locally sourced and freshly prepared on site, offering contemporary casual dining at it’s very best. The menu offers freshly prepared, quality classic pub fayre, but with a grill bias, all served within a relaxed environment. A childrens menu and a “proper Sunday roast” are also available.

The venue is also the area’s premier live music venue with bands performing every Saturday night and most Fridays, as well as other key dates. Each and every band is of the highest of quality, but admission is always free!

The Station is also ideal for social gatherings, informal Company parties and any type of celebration, with a selection of very reasonably priced buffet menus available to suit every taste and pocket.
