It's the 43rd anniversary of the Sony Betamax video recorder. It's also the 21st anniversary of human cloning being ruled morally unacceptable by a US Presidential Commission. So what's this got to do with Speakeasy Bootleg Band playing at The Caledonia I hear you ask....... nowt really, but it seemed a good way to start.
Anyway, ....... cut to the chase Speakeasy Bootleg Band band comes steaming in at 9pm, so come early, grab some brilliant nosh, drink your way along the bar and round things off with a liberal helping of the Finest Quality Bootleg Music Since Records Began. There's loads of floor space too, so turn up in droves, dance away your blues and help us ram the place to the doors ....... It's a tall ceiling so you can stand on each other's shoulders, jump up and down, sing, shout, drink beer and Fill Yer Boots. We kick off about 9PM and play until the last man standing falls over, but until we've had the AMAZING JAZZ PILE-ON to round off the evening - All horn players welcome.
