New Orleans Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Calypso, Swing
Forged out of the lively street music scene in the French Quarter of New Orleans, the members of Taylor Smith & The Roamin' Jasmine found one another busking under the swampy Louisiana sun, exploring 1920’s era speakeasy blues, vintage Calypso from Trinidad, seminal 1950’s New Orleans Rhythm & Blues.
Snug 19th-century ale house lined with memorabilia, hosting regular live music and open-mic nights.
It reopened in February 2017 after a substantial renovation and with renewed emphasis on real ales (increasing beers available from three to five).
The exterior glass and woodwork date from c. 1900 and there is the interesting remains of a mosaic floor.
