Description

Born in late 2016, Ortario formed from the ashes of various bands of the South Wales valleys and immediately starting writing their first set of tracks. The band recorded two singles which included 'Forte' and 'All Outta Money' which gained radio airplay all over the world including USA, France, Germany, Japan, Australia and of course, The UK. During that time, Ortario were shortlisted by Indie Live Music of New Jersey, USA, for the best unsigned newcomer award which they went on to win.

After the modest success of the two records, the band found themselves back in the studio recording their debut EP, 'A Place Called Home' which would later be self released in January 2017. At this point the band had not even played a single show but with the new record being released worldwide, Ortario embarked on their first run of concerts to promote the debut record. As the momentum of shows gathered, so did the amount of radio airplay. With stations around the world playing records off the debut EP, Ortario found themselves being played by BBC Introducing which would kickstart the Ortario following.

Within 8 months of the band playing their first show, Ortario had been asked to support Razorlight and Reef at Septemberfest at Donington Park. As the band carried on with show commitments, Ortario then re entered the studio to start work on their first studio album.

This venue is no stranger to live music acts and since opening nearly 4 years ago The Dragonffli has attracted attention from bands all over the Uk and as far the states.
