The Volunteer Arms is a totally independent free house
situated just off Holgate Road close to the centre of York.
We serve an array of fine cask ales and ciders, as well as an unusual selection of quality draught lagers, craft ales and world beers.
We feature live blues music every Saturday night
with more live music most Fridays as well.
We also have a weekly Sunday night quiz with
beer prizes and a monthly cash prize.
Sports fans will be pleased to know that we have
Sky Sports, and two TV screens.
