Dori & The Outlaws are a modern four piece Americana band, playing roots rock country and blues, heavily influenced by the sounds of Nashville, Tennessee.

Our set includes hits from Patsy Cline, Emmylou Harris, Johnny Cash, and Billie Jo Spears through to modern day stars such as Blackberry Smoke, Terri Clark, Imelda May, Norah Jones and Miss Tess and the Talkbacks.

You can look forward to hearing vocals, harmonica, classic Fender lead guitar, upright bass and drums from seasoned pros who deliver a high quality and fast moving show.

A popular traditional locals' pub situated in the heart of Wilsden village.

It is open-plan but still retains a multi-room feel. The bar has four hand-pumps serving one regular beer and up to three rotating guests, usually sourced nationally. There are two dartboards, a pool table and an impressive collection of model Ferrari cars in the games room.

Back in the day, the village pub was the heart of the community bringing together the residents and visitors of the village for a nice, refreshing pint and a chat. Throughout the years habits change and traditions no longer have the longevity they once had. This happened here at The New Inn, where the love and passion for serving the regulars was dwindling. A local resident who frequented the pub grew tired of poor service so decided to take on the pub herself. Having worked previously behind a bar she thought that it would be a fun environment and worked tirelessly to keep the pub’s good name for quality drinks and theme nights going. But unfortunately the long hours and busy weekends took their toll, both physically and emotionally, and she had to pass the baton to someone new to the village with a desire to uphold what she had envisioned: a vibrant, community-oriented local pub. That is when I stepped in. Having done numerous courses in the hospitality trade and the experience of having worked behind a bar counter since the age of fifteen, the challenge of adapting to a new world of licensing, stifling contractual obligations to the pubco and a competitive market was an uphill struggle (and still is!). Here at The New Inn we, the team consisting of bar staff and myself, make sure every day is a step towards making a better pub for the community and surroundings. New products are constantly being sourced. Trends that come and go are scrutinized and assessed to see if we should be following them.
